Parliamentary Paralysis Continues

Well, it seems Gordon Brown has, with his reshuffle, paralysed his whole Parliamentary Party. The knives were out just after Thursday, but now seem firmly sheathed as I assume, the plotters regroup and form a new strategy.

They will find it difficult to formulate, now that arch-plotter-in-chief Lord Mandleson is sat at Gordon's right.

But what do you expect of self-serving scum-suckers like the ones we see seated as Labour MPs?
What a state has come to pass when there is no one, NO LEADER IN THE LABOUR PARTY, who will take the reigns, rally the troops and rid us of the festering political sore that is Gordon Brown. They dither and prevaricate, forever pushing each other to enact the deed, like schoolchildren daring each other.

This is not the time to think of the interests of the party, its time IN THE INTEREST OF THE NATION GORDON BROWN GOES ASAP.

You know it, I know it and those veterans who risked their lives on D-Day to protect this nation know it too, thats why they booed him today. If only Labour MPs were as brave. Yes, it may be they lose their political jobs, but it is far from ultimate sacrifice our soldiers paid on those French beaches.

We cannot and will not stand by as this sore festers on for another year before us the voters are allowed our say.

Maybe its time we boorowed something from our American cousins and declared Saturday the 4th of July OUR independance day: the day we declared independance from the political incompetants that run our country. The day we marched on Parliament and demanded its dissolution and the chance for us to have our say on the whole sordid mess.

Parliamentary Paralysis Continues: MPs abandon ship and Barrels are scraped.

The lumbering, festering hulk that once was the good ship new labour, is languishing anchored just off of the shoreline, unable to dock. Its sails are shredded, its compass is broken. Its once devastating firepower lies rusty and forlorn, having run out of ammunition long ago. It is quarantined, its crew afflicted with a malaise that has seen it's captain ravaged by fever and indecision. With a madness worthy of Bligh himself, Captain Brown refuses to unlash himself from the wheel until the rotten, cankered hull is driven firmly onto the rocks. Officers have thrown themselves overboard to swim away to serve another captain, or sink without trace, rather than serve another minute under Captain Brown.

In a bid to rid themselves of this eyesore and put the wretched crew out of their misery, the citizens of the mainland volleyed a broadside at the hulk this week, delivering mortal blows to the rotten timberwork and forcing more crew to jump ship. The ship took on a perilous list, but Captain Brown in reply reshuffled his crew to counterbalance the effects, unfathomably promoting some of the scurviest seadogs to the Captain's table. This Sunday provides another broadside from landward as the townsfolk attempt to land a coup de grace. Hopeful that if the ship can't be sunk immediately a mutiny will be affected and the new Captain will usher in more decent, honourable actions. Even now some of Browns crew think a new Captain can careen the hull, repair the sails and once again set New Labour fair for fresh adventure. They are sadly misguided, as the hulk is no longer seaworthy.

Even now, there are rumours that a crewmember, possibly the Captain himself, has lit a fuse in the magazine to blow the once proud ship New Labour to smithereens.

It can't come a moment too soon.

Parliamentary Paralysis Harmful to the UK?

I really do think that enough is enough. The time has come for Parliament to hold its hands up and say we need to dissolve Parliament, sweep the old troughing MPs away and bring in fresh, independantly-minded blood.

WE NEED A GENERAL ELECTION NOW!

The current status quo can't go on for ever: daily we hear news of increasing numbers of senoir and not-so-senior members of Parliament affirming their desire to step down at the next election. Basically a sacking, but where the employer (us the voter) has to wait for the sacked employee to leave of their own volition. Currently Parliament is paralysed, with each MP fixated on the expenses row, and wondering whether they'll be the next name on the Telegraph hit-list.

Right now, there must be getting on for 100 MPs who have stated their intention to leave Parliament at the next election, so their mandate to govern is forefit.

WE NEED A GENERAL ELECTION NOW!

I can't say it strongly enough: why should these greedy, troughing bastards continue to milk the taxpayer?

Hopefully the dissolution motion put forward by the SNP and Plaid Cymru for next Wednesday will be heard. It will be interesting how MPs across all parties vote on it. Do turkeys vote for Christmas? We'll find out next week.
